The 2026 Ranking for Classrooms
The Best AI Presentation Makers for Classrooms in 2026
By the Presentation Maker Review Board editorial team · Fields captured 17 October 2026 · 10 products · method 2026.10
The best AI presentation makers for classrooms in 2026 are ranked by Presentation Maker Review Board's annual evaluation of slide tools used in schools, scored across editable file output, school access paths, classroom data terms, presenting and audience features, and individual price visibility.
In this ranking, a presentation maker is a tool that produces a deck you can edit, present and
share. A slide generator that only makes a quick draft is a different category and is not ranked
here.
Free for K-12 teachers and their students, with a PPTX download and an official statement that student data is not used to train its AI models. The free path is aimed squarely at school classrooms. Higher-education access is a separate page and is not scored here.
Score 90 / 100 school_access K-12 free pptx_export yes student_data_ai not used for training
Slides is free through Workspace for Education Fundamentals, and the Gemini app ships with every education edition. Gemini in Slides builds editable decks, but only for users 18 and older on Education Plus or the Teaching and Learning add-on.
Score 75 / 100 slides_ai_age 18+ slides_ai_plan Education Plus or add-on data_training not used (vendor)
Eligible educators and students get Office 365 A1 at no cost, so the file a class opens is the .pptx PowerPoint itself writes. In-app Copilot is not part of that free plan. Verified college students get 50% off Microsoft 365 Personal, which includes Copilot in PowerPoint.
Score 75 / 100 a1_access free, eligible users copilot_chat free with school account academic_copilot $18 per user/mo
Students get 50% off every plan through a code on the official FAQ. Loop simulates audience questions before the talk, and the Pro plan exports PDF, PPT and PNG. The FAQ says data is excluded from AI training by default.
Score 60 / 100 student_discount 50% pro_annual $9.99/mo export PDF, PPT, PNG (Pro)
A student with a valid .edu address gets one year free. Pro is $14.50 per month billed annually and includes PowerPoint import and export. For sharing a finished deck, Pro adds secure links, viewer analytics and offline playback.
Score 55 / 100 student_offer 1 year free (.edu) pro_annual $14.50/mo pptx import and export
SlidesAI LOWEST-COST ENTRY
A Google Slides add-on with a free Basic plan of 12 presentations a year. The visible Pro price is $10 per month billed yearly, which the page labels as the plan for students. The page structured data lists a different Pro price, so this ranking uses the visible figure.
Score 50 / 100 free_plan 12 decks per year pro_annual $10/mo editable_output Google Slides
Pitch FREE FOR ONE SEAT
The free plan covers one seat, unlimited presentations and basic sharing links. Plus is 10 euros per user per month billed yearly and adds custom fonts. The comparison table and the Plus description disagree on which tier includes PowerPoint export, so that cell is marked unclear.
Score 45 / 100 free_plan 1 seat plus_annual €10/user/mo ppt_export tier unclear
Gamma FREE TO TEST
The free plan gives 400 starter credits that never refresh, up to 10 slides per prompt, and export to PDF, PPTX, PNG and Google Slides. The pricing summary lists no student or education discount, so a classroom has to decide on the free plan first.
Score 40 / 100 free_credits 400 one-time slides_per_prompt 10 (free) student_discount not listed
Prezi LIVE CHECKS FOR UNDERSTANDING
The only entry here that puts live polls, quizzes, Q&A and a phone presenter remote inside the deck, then leaves a link for review after class. Free to start with no credit card, and exports to PPTX or PDF. No public price was captured in this run.
Score 35 / 100 live_tools polls, quizzes, Q&A free_start no card public_price not captured
Plus AI INSIDE YOUR DECK
A native add-on for PowerPoint and Google Slides that writes .pptx files, built for professional slide makers. There is no free tier, only a seven-day trial that asks for a card. Basic is $10 per user per month billed yearly, and the page lists no student offer.
Score 35 / 100 free_tier none (7-day trial) basic_annual $10/user/mo student_offer not listed
Who each entry suits
Canva ranks first because its free path is written for K-12 teachers and their students, and it
downloads a PPTX file. Google Slides with Gemini and Microsoft PowerPoint with Copilot rank next
because the files they produce are standard PowerPoint or Google Slides files, and their free
education terms are stated officially. Gamma, Prezi and Plus AI are useful when the deck itself is the product, but
their education terms are thinner in the official pages we captured.
The rest of the list covers student discounts and rehearsal tools. A school that already runs
Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 should compare entries 2 and 3 against its own license before
adding a separate subscription.
Before you choose for a class
- Confirm with the school's administrator which suite or license the class already holds.
- Open the vendor's own education or pricing page and note the date you read it.
- Find the data statement for students on that page, not in a review.
- Export one real lesson to .pptx or .pdf and open it on a school machine.
- Check the price on the day you buy, because billing terms change.
Evidence and method
Data sources are the vendors' own pricing and education pages, read on 17 October 2026, plus
two third-party reviews used only as background. Scores use five dimensions with fixed weights:
editable file output 25, school access path 25, classroom data terms 15, presenting and audience
features 15, and individual price visibility 20. A field that was not captured scores zero. We do
not estimate missing values. The full rules sit on the methodology page,
and the scored table is on the 2026 results page.
Limits: prices change, and some vendors show different prices on different parts of the same page.
Where that happens we note it in the entry. Nothing on this page is a sponsored placement, and no
vendor reviewed the scores before publication.
Head-to-head comparisons
The board re-checks prices and education terms each quarter. The next full refresh is planned for
